My dad got xBox Live. e.e Apparently, I won't be allowed to play it though. Something about Microsoft, confusion, and money.

Well... Its my dad's xBox account right? And so he set up a profile for himself. But anyone else who sets up a profile sorta can't have their own xBox Live user, they hafta buy a whole other subscription. Or something like that, from what I can tell.

Well, that is true, if you wanted to have your own profile, you would have to pay another subscription fee. Looks like your options are:
1: You make another profile that is only a Xbox Live Silver Account. You wouldn't be able to play online, but you would save your won achievements and would at least be able to talk to online friends. Plus, if you ever want to upgrade to a paid Gold account, it is very simple, and any achievements you had during the Silver account would be translated to the Gold account.
2: You could make the account you already have made into your overall family account; meaning that you just take turns playing on it. A lot of my friends do this to save money... I am not one of them, since I am a greedy bastard and my brother and I have our own individual Xbox's and accounts.
3: Play whenever your dad is on, but as a guest. To do so, simply turn on a second controller, and when asked to sign in, simply sign in as a guest.
4: GET A DAMN GOLD ACCOUNT. You can pay for it for $8.00 a month, or $50.00 a year... Might I suggest the fifty, since the eight would add up to $96.00 a year? Although I kinda assume this option isn't available to you, now is it?
