The Japanese lettering at the bottom is Husky's name in Japanese. ^.^

The kanji underneath the symbol could use a little mroe work, but that's just me. as for the art as a whole, I like it. There are many ways the symbol could stand for. To take from others have said, water under the bridge, teardrops shed from a closed eye. Me, if I were to get fancy, I would say ts the clouds of the end raining in a new era. In any case, its a very nice piece of art and you both should be proud of the accomplishment.
